It is situated in Village Rewat (Kadel) near Pushkar in District Ajmer, Rajasthan,
India. Residential meditation courses are held here throughout the year. Dhamma
Pushkar is managed by Vipassana Kendra Pushkar, a registered charitable trust.
The Centre is surrounded by the age-old Aravalli hills on one side while the sacred
lake of Pushkar and sprawling sand dunes stretch on the other. This beautiful,
pristine twelve acres property is situated about 10 kms from Pushkar, 25 kms from
Ajmer and about 150 kms from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.
The Centre has presently a Dhamma Hall (with a capacity of 120 meditators), 40 male
and 20 female meditator residences, a 120-cell Pagoda complex, Teacher residences,
Dhamma server residences, Dining Hall and staff residential quarters.
Everyone seeks peace and harmony, because this is what we lack in our lives. From time to time we all experience agitation, irritation, disharmony. And when we suffer from these miseries, we don’t keep them to ourselves; we often distribute them to others as well.
